The Renaissance Movement praise itself for the diversity of domains and in that sense does not claim to have borders or rules. Especially there are no clear boundaries, where art begins and engineering starts, or where poetry blends in with communication. And code with governance..
So boundaries within the circle are solely set to Values.
This Value statement needs to be the connector. This does not mean that we share a detailed vision together, since all communities and projects have a clear idea of the vision they are building. But it does mean that we need to make sure we agree on what we it is we are creating towards and what part we play in it. If there is no overlap of any of the values stated in this MTP with your project or community, the Renaissance Circle might not be your place to be.
Let's break it down:
As in opposite of siloed infrastructure, where two layers don't interoperate, a gap is created for a third party to handle the trust.
Projects need to universal and Sync, and be coherent in values.
In a practical way this reflects in how we communicate and connect. We will need to understand eachother so we can build together.
With open we mean: with the intention to share and have other communities build fork and recreate upon. Free an unrestricted access for individuals to infrastructure.
This is essential to incentivise participation. Since whatever we create together or share will be beneficial to all.
We are building to be free and conscious. The combination of both is essential for realizing what freedom is in the first place, and be conscious about it is the celebration and integration of knowledge made your own. It means not free for freedoms sake, but to be aware of what it means and build toward creating this reality for society.
In all its diversity. This one is the simplest concept of the Value Statement, but it's the one we will need to work most on to keep this in flow. Humans with each their culture, their realities, thoughts and beliefs. Be conscious what it means to be human, and celebrate our differences while respecting our personal boundaries is what needs to be safeguarded by governance models that aim to create this infrastructure. The flow and constructive energy that we have as humans. Especially when we do things together.
